Dana, Wiseburn schools recognized in new rankings

U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in education rankings, announced the 2022 Best K-8 Schools rankings in October 2021. For the first time, U.S. News has published rankings and data on more than 80,000 public elementary and middle schools across the country.

Each of Wiseburn's K-8 schools earned special recognition, of the schools with student achievement data from state testing available. Dana Middle School ranked #159 out of 3,446 analyzed middle schools in California, and is one of the top ranked schools in the South Bay and Westside. Both Anza and 138th St. School also ranked within the top 20% of analyzed elementary schools in all of California.

Cabrillo Games
Cabrillo community brings fun and safety to campus

October at Cabrillo was about engaging with our community! The Cabrillo PTA joined forces with the elementary P.E. team to orchestrate the first-ever Cabrillo Games fundraiser. Thanks to support from families, the event raised $58,000 for the school, culminating in a fun day of athletic events. Later in the month, Cabrillo welcomed representatives from the Hawthorne and El Camino College Police Departments, in celebration of Red Ribbon Week. Cabrillo is grateful for our community partners!
