September 2022 message from the Superintendent

Dear Wiseburn Families and Friends,

Just a few days ago, we welcomed back our students and families for the 2022-2023 school year. I was truly inspired by the positivity and happiness that was obvious on the faces of and in the interactions between students, families, and our District staff. The last 3 years have been a significant challenge for our school community, yet Monday marked a return to school that seemed more normal, and I can’t help but to feel a renewed sense of optimism for the year ahead.

We continue to be driven by the District Assurances of Safety, Student-Centered/Whole Child, Future Ready, Community and Collaboration, and Organizational Strength. This year, with our assurances as guideposts, the District will focus on our board-adopted priorities that support student achievement, student wellness and safety, ongoing collaboration, and the continued organizational strength of our District. I invite you to review the more detailed slides below that share more about our priorities and how we intend to achieve them.

I look forward to working with our school community to ensure our students have the best experience possible during the school year. It brings me great joy to help usher in the new school year in a district that has a wonderful student body, a caring and high-quality staff, and a community that supports the District in so many ways.

I have deep gratitude for everyone’s contribution to Wiseburn. From our partners in the Wiseburn Education Foundation, to our PTAs, to our community groups, the collaboration is critical to the success of our District and, ultimately, to the success of our students. We continue to offer a great educational experience for our students at every step of their journey.

May the upcoming school year be the best one yet! I wish you a great year, good health, and success in all you do.

With gratitude,

Blake Silvers, Ed.D.
